Fall – The Season of Change

Good Morning Loves,

I hope you take time to meditate for at least 5-10 minutes before you start your day. It’s very beneficial. We all need that moment to relax our mind and spirit. Having peace is nothing that money can buy. Often times we forget to take advantage of the quietness because we’re so used to being on the go and making sure things are done.

For a change force yourself to enjoy the quietness with a cup of tea, hot spice cider or decaf coffee. Close your eyes, imagine a beautiful sight or picture then breathe in through your nose, hold it for 1-2 minutes or count to 20-30, then exhale through your mouth. Repeat the steps a couple of times. You will notice that your body feels more relaxed. You can do this exercise a couple of times a day or whenever you start to feel stressed. While you’re relaxing with your eyes closed, continue to visualize your picture but relax your mind so you can experience true peace. It takes practice to tune out the noise in your mind. Our mind is always on the go. It’s not used to quietness and it feels the need to interrupt the quietness. For starters until you mask the skill, play an instrumental version of a relaxing song. This will help your mind to relax.

I love the season of Fall for many reasons. I love the crisp cool air, leaves change colors, Apple picking, enjoying apple cider and so much more. Fall signifies the season of change. It is the season of many things transitioning to prepare for what is to come next. As I admire how the leaves are changing colors to reflect their beauty it made me think of how us humans go through a change to reflect our maturity. This is the time to reflect on all that we’ve been through in this year leading up to now. The year of 2018 is almost over with only less than three months left.

You have to ask yourself what do you want to do differently now don’t wait until New Years Day to make a resolution. Make your resolutions now and take the necessary steps to achieve it. So when 2019 comes, you can reflect back on the decision you’ve made this month or in Oct. Be sure to write it down so you can track your progress.

Ever hear the saying that change is inevitable? Well it is. Everyone is different when it comes to change whether they are nervous, scared, excited, etc. The different emotions we go through are all normal. Do what you know is best for you and your family. Don’t let anyone tell you what’s best for you and your family especially if it’s not in line with what you think is best for you and your family. People have motives and they don’t want to see you get ahead of them. They rather for you to be right where they are. They know your weaknesses and they will do whatever to distract you from the course. But check this out….they don’t realize they are being used to fuel your motivation and ambition to do better. Always remember people can’t go where you go and many may not accept the path you decide to go to better yourself. Again it’s change that everyone is afraid of. Again change is inevitable.

Have faith knowing that everything will be okay. Remember faith doesn’t come through seeing because the eyes can be deceiving of what you see. Faith comes through by hearing unable to see anything. However we must limit or tune out what our ears hear. Have you ever noticed that our ears are nosey just like our eyes? Lol yes they are. You could be in a restaurant eating your food and overhear a conversation between a few people. That’s when we have to tell our ears 👂 you need to mind your business and then put your ear plugs in. It happens to me all the time. So what I do is take my hearing aid out my ears and enjoy the quietness. I know my ears be mad but oh well it’s none of their concern to know what’s going on with our people. But then again it depends on the situation because what if you overheard someone trying to commit suicide. You have to save a life. It’s up to us to discern between hearing what is necessary to what is not necessary such as gossiping.

Enjoy and embrace your season of change as you admire the changing of the leaves 🍁. Old habits have to die away especially if it’s keeping you from getting to the next phase in your life. Always believe in YOURSELF even when people don’t believe in you. Remember you don’t live for them instead you live for YOURSELF! Face whatever it is that’s holding you back and break through it so you can forgive yourself and be on the road to healing. Until next time stay encouraged my loves. Please feel free to message me should you need any encouragement.
