Encouragement, Faith, Reflection

Good Evening Loves,

How is everyone doing? It’s amazing to be given another opportunity to wake up today to make a difference in this world. Yesterday I attended an amazing meeting. I was given the opportunity to discuss GrahamHaven Foundation vision and mission statement. I provided each person with an one pager fact sheet about GrahamHaven Foundation. I received an overwhelming support from each member.

This one member who is the Coordinator of the Independent Living Program for foster youths said in her own words I quote “I’m worried about where my children will go after they leave care. I’m excited and we need to push this forth. These are my kids we are talking about. I’m going to speak to my Director to have State money pour into this program because we need it!”

Another member who is the Director of Outreach in a foster care agency sent me an email today. She said “It is very exciting and I think the community is ready for it! And the combination of your life experience, education, and work experience, you are the perfect person to spearhead the efforts!

Based on those two profound statements as well as people giving me possible locations where the shelter can be at; is that I know it was a purpose for me to relocate to Pennsylvania from New York. I’m so glad that I stepped outside of my comfort zone to come to a place where I don’t know anybody nor have any family here. I continue to work on what’s important to me and what’s in my heart which is to make sure Alumni who’ve emancipated from foster care and juvenile facilities have a safe place to go to.

With all that is going on and the need to have GrahamHaven Foundation up and running before the end of this year, I will need to give my journey my undivided attention. I can’t have multiple projects going on at the same time. So with that being said I will be away until the summer time when the “sun shines” the best with words of encouragement and inspiration for your temple to absorb. What would we in the world be without “Sunshine”?

Peace and Love,
